He says this is also a plan to promote healthier work journeys and combat environmental pollution. "People need to cycle, we have a huge student population and l do not see the reason why a student should be getting on a car," Mafume said. He also revealed that a number of contractors have sent in proposals to rehabilitate cycle tracks and infrastructure in the capital. Traffic congestion is one of Harare's major problem.
