Think you spoke perfect sense. We can’t just rely on the household to aid development and correct behaviours. It’s a societal issue and needs to be tackled as such, but equally need to be sensitive and supportive when calling it out.

Thank you for explaining this so well - not impressed at all with how GMB presented it, & it was a relief to have you on there. And how on earth do you learn about healthy relationships at home if there is domestic abuse happening at home? This will be case for too many children

It is such a lazy take to say that secondary modes of socialisation are completly redundant because of what happens in the home. Respect to you Marv for pointing out that while parents can do their bit, there are societal pressures outside the home that contribute to behaviour.

Most boys are socialised by adult females - we are demonising boys purely on the basis of their gender and expecting "good behaviour" - boys are equally human and deserve the same respect and value - male behaviour overall is way more protective to women and children than harmful
