I’ll take a bullet for my mother, but my father is a narcissist. The amount of abuse he dished out during my childhood and to my mother is something I won’t forgive. So if you got a great dad, I am so happy for you. But some people have a different situation.

What about bad fathers?

This is a 'brotherhood' shaming post in my opinion. It's important to SEE and ACT based on reality , no matter who it is. As an adult adjust your vision with eyes and mind of a mature adult and act accordingly. Helpless children blindly follow with love and trust not adults.

I've not seen him since i was a kid, he left us when i was vulnerable more than ever. How do i call that dog a father???? Tell me huh?

You cannot replace what wasn't there. Being a father has great responsibilities. I feel like this post is a double sided coin with heads on both sides. Many don't have a father in their life just a man who brought them into life.
