It was so lovely to visit Tommy Robinson 🇬🇧 Tommy today… laughter, chat, chocolate and loads of hugs! 🤗 ♥️ We weren’t asked to sign an NDA. He told us that he is allocated three times in a day to use his phone, but sometimes his phone isn’t turned on for him to use. Other inmates have theirs on most of the day. I asked the prison officer why his time was limited and why it wasn’t always switched on in those times, he said that Tommys calls are monitored and that sometimes they don’t have the staff to monitor them. I asked why his calls are monitored and not other prisoners, he replied it is what we’ve been told to do. Tommy has lost weight. It took a little while for him to relax into the visit when we first got there, but we soon got into the flow and we felt it was a good upbeat visit. Tommy is NOT allowed to mention the word Southport on the phone or he gets cut off instantly. Tommy has his canteen back. He asked us to thank you all for your continued support, cards, letters, emails and for turning up in numbers to London. ♥️🇬🇧

You'd be handing a single company a record of your entire life, your emails, your health, your money, your private conversations, and trusting it to guard all of that and never misuse it. These are the same firms that keep getting hacked and subpoenaed, and once that data exists in one place, you don't control where it ends up. They want it anyway because it locks you in. Altman has said the deep memory creates massive switching costs, which is his term for a moat. Once ChatGPT holds years of your context, walking away for a competitor means starting from zero, so most people won't. You carry the privacy risk so they can hold a customer who won't walk. Google and Apple ran a version of this with email and photos, and this hook goes far deeper, your whole life instead of a photo library. I'd think hard before pouring all of it into any single one of these tools, because the company that holds your entire context doesn't have to stay the best. It only has to be impossible to quit. Someone called the singularity "the rapture for atheists" and I think that captures something real about how these predictions function. They're not technical roadmaps. But before the company became what it is today, it was just two brothers with a love of cars and an entrepreneurial spirit. Adriaan Stephanus Scheepers (“Faan”) and Dirk Jacobus Floris (“Dirk”) van der Walt grew up in Bronkorspruit. In 1988, while still in high school, Faan bought his first motorbike, a Yamaha XT500, for R400. He did some work on the motorbike and later sold it for R450. “The entrepreneurial spirit grew within me during those high school years,” Faan said. “I recall having that money in my hands and getting a real kick out of doing a successful deal, and I guess that’s where it all started.” Unfortunately, WeBuyCars had been listed on JSE. Waiting your ass off, to get helped !! You can’t negotiate a better price, your sales consultant will tell you, "they don’t give the public any discount", but you must know you have to pay around R2 000 more for some admin fee on top of your horrible deal !!!!. This don’t make sense !!! I bought a BMW for Zelda a few years ago, the samething, no bargaining allowed. The fragile item problem alone eliminates a significant portion of what people actually order, including wine, glassware, electronics, and anything in a glass jar, which covers a substantial chunk of Amazon's catalog. The deeper question is whether this technology is being deployed because it's ready or because Amazon needs to demonstrate progress on the billions already committed to it. Every video like this one becomes a public test of a product that isn't finished, in neighborhoods where the company needs goodwill to maintain operating permissions. The $4.99 fee also doesn't cover the actual cost of drone delivery at current scale, which means Amazon is subsidizing a service that breaks your syrup.
