Belal Muhammad says Merab is bringing excitement back to the smaller weight classes and sees Umar as his biggest challenge "I do think Umar probably has to get one more because Merab is calling for Petr Yan. Umar is not gonna go in December after October. I do think it’s one of those where Umar is gonna be his closest competition in there just because the wrestling was so even. It was a very close fight. I know Merab doesn’t give him the credit, they have a beef with each other and it’s one of the funniest things because they both are two of the nicest guys and they just don’t like each other.
