I had a sign painter friend who was high up on a ladder painting a Manhattan storefront sign when Martin Sheen walked by, looked up at my friend and gave him huge smile and a thumbs up. Quite a tribute from President Bartlett!

I miss this man every day. He was a genius of acting. I wish I could have known him personally. He’s my absolute favorite.
