Is anyone else getting macross vibes from this?

HI-Evo 2: Anemone is honestly a very intriguing film if you know your Eureka Seven lore. Probably the best way they used stick footage. If only they explained any of the mystery boxes they left in any of these movies.

Every time I watch those movies, I know they were a whim of Bones. It's incredible how much talent, time, and money they knew they'd never recoup.
