I know only baseball, but the 2024 JUCO player of the year MLB drafted was an OU drop down. If JUCO doesn't count, age and ability increase at every level. It's common for D1 Freshman to transfer to JUCO in December - like COVID year, fewer spots for incoming players.

I think more kids will go to juco if it won’t count against there eligibility. Why not get a free 2 years to develop?
