Same old, same old: divide and conquer. It's easier to control smaller factions of society by influencing them with middle-ground decisions, slowly steering toward their preferred outcome.

Spot on ! This is why I always say, the best solution for the region is a close sovereign aliance between Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland, Romania which should nurture relations with both East and West and protect neutrality through their combined strength.

Not defending the 🇪🇺zone & its impact on 🇧🇬 ofc but that’s not a correct argument- 🇧🇬is in a currency board,🇧🇬lev is fixed to € so technically it’s not a financial instrument the country controls or can use. It’s simply that we don’t fulfill the requirements & they lie ab that🤷
