My son is a retired Navy nurse. He had a buddy a year behind in nursing school. They were assigned to 29 Palms ER. One night, a big, drunk Marine tried fighting everyone. Son’s buddy took him out. Before nursing school, he was a SEAL. Word got out. Don’t mess with the ER nurses.

It made the evening news here in Australia. The nurse took up Taekwondo years ago because he was sick of people assaulting him and his colleagues.

That man earned his mustache that day 😎🔥

With that moustache, he was channelling Don Frye.

Many nurses and CNAs have done their clinicals and have worked in psych wards, including the hardcore wings. Many are trained to handle people who go off the deep end like this guy.

ER nurses have to learn how to fight because they are attacked all the time

This happens more than most people realize. I’ve been involved in a few incidents. You hit a hospital employee and believe me we will handle you until security and police arrests them.

My son has the same job and is ready for it, he tells me this happens more than you think it would.

ER nurses are some the toughest in the business . They have to be because of the clientele… they get the crazies that aren’t in institutions.
