This is a direct consequence of the Russian forces steadily advancing toward the city and currently being at a distance of less than 12 km from it.

The Vought XF8U-3 Crusader III was an advanced prototype fighter developed in the late 1950s. Capable of reaching nearly Mach 3, it featured massive ventral fins and was conceptually derived from the earlier F8U-1 and F8U-2 Crusaders—though it shared very few actual components with them. Despite its impressive performance, it ultimately lost out to the F-4 Phantom II. The aircraft made its first flight in 1958.
