prime messi turning elite defenders into training cones

Messi is Ashley Cole's worst nightmare

ok i have to back to sleep

“Messi can’t do it in the prem”

No player is a threat to Messi.

Cole had a tough job that night. Messi was a different beast in 2009

It was the most difficult nights of Chelsea

Messi to Ashley Cole 😄

Alwyas been better than Ronaldo

Then Messi

Great play by Messi, however Ashley Cole was a great defender!

"I wish i could do that"

Messi nearly ended his life😭

Even Ashley Cole himself said Messi was the toughest to mark.

"He won't survive in the Premier League," they yapped. Someone who took this tackle against a strong, quality defender and didn't flinch. Did you even hear the sound of that kick?

“Messi can’t play in premier league”

"he wouldn't do this in the EPL" 🤡

🐐

No way Ashley Cole was cooked all game, didn't even win any tackle 😭

“But but but he can’t make it in premier league” if you are among those people that usually say this, you will never make it in life…

Cole couldn’t touch him, bro

The person who started messi and Ronaldo debate should be arrested and jailed.

That cursed game, michael ballack and drogba running through the ref. Man negriera times was best for barcelona fans. Look at them now. They even continue doing the same thing in 2025

He's just a different human!

Same match!! 🤫🤐

This was Ronaldo’s toughest opponent btw

Ashley who?

Had him on strings all game

Ashley Cole wan craze 😭😂😂

Ronaldo consider him as the best defender 🤣

Messi dribbles past Cole, stuns Chelsea in stoppage time.

This clip never gets old because it shows two things at once. Messi at his peak, fearless, always asking for the ball, always thinking he can beat you. And Ashley Cole, probably the toughest full back he ever faced, staying on his feet, not biting, not panicking. No embarrassment. No highlight reel humiliation. Just elite versus elite, over and over again. That’s why this duel is remembered. Respect on both sides. People talk about Messi cooking everyone, but Cole made him work for every inch. That is the highest compliment you can give a defender. How many full backs do you honestly trust to survive this matchup today?

But But certain fanbase told me that messi wouldn't have survived the old generation defender's physicality with that height. He even had cooked R. Carlos btw.
