What everyone is missing is that this is a great device for kids aged 5-14. No real danger of excess screen time. You could likely have it where it’s connected to your own meta devices so that you could speak to them without it being a full fledged phone. This makes sense

they actually look really fashionable. i think they have a good % of youth market captured between this and the meta ray bans, just because they don’t look dumb

I can’t think of an instance where I would reach for that instead of my phone, nor can I think of a situation where I would lug that around in addition to my phone. It’s an answer in search of a question.

I’ve been working on something similar on top of @Unihertz jelly star (smallest android I could find w 5g / camera / fingerprint). You can device lock Android to a single app, so have a lightweight one that simply serves @NousResearch Hermes via voice with a little avatar
