Exact meaning of the paintings at Lascaux or any of the other sites is still subject to discussion, but the prevailing view attaches a ritualistic or even spiritual component to them, hinting at the sophistication of their creators. Lascaux was added to the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list in 1979, along with other prehistoric sites in its proximity. Art at Lascaux was both painted on and engraved into the uneven walls of the cave, artists working with edges and curves of the walls to enhance their compositions. Resulting impressive displays depict mainly animals, but also a significant amount of abstract symbols, and even a human. Another mysterious figure is depicted with panther skin, a deer's tail, a bison's hump, two horns and a male member. Creative minds have suggested it may be a sorcerer or wizard, but what it really represents is hard to determine. Beyond the Hall of the Bulls lies Axial Gallery, a dead-end passage, but a spectacular one at that. We have been deliberately forced to accept abstract “art” and soulless “design” as the new modern standard. Why would they attack beauty? Technical environment artist Magnus Tellmann has unveiled a stunning new scene titled Stylized Cave. Inspired by the captivating art styles of games like Genshin Impact and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, Tellmann focused on creating a small immersive cave environment to fit this mood and aesthetic. "I really love the art style of Genshin Impact and Kena: Bridge of Spirits, so I decided to create a small stylized scene based on that. I chose a cave environment to focus on sculpting in ZBrush - rocks in particular. Throughout the project, I experimented a lot with Substance Painter and lighting to push the mood and style toward the look I wanted. In 1972, the famous gallery owner Iris Clert was forced to close her gallery on the rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré, which was facing serious financial failure. She acquired the Stradart, Le Poids Lourd Culturel, a Berliet truck with a Plexiglas tailgate that served as a mobile picture rail, and set off on a tour of France.
