I disagree with the notion that its "what if we made it in modern times" I feel its more like, "what if the universe itself is stacked against the notion of good and just". Finding the Absolute comics so interesting because they feel so oppressive. Loving Absolute WW the most atm

Might wanna reread the comics, Method Man, it’s less about bringing to modern times. Batman is actively modern, this is very much just Scott Snyder given free license.

Synder also wrote Batman for years before this so he is updating a character he already updated in Court of Owls. Nice.
