MGNREGA is not just a work programme; it is a conceptual development framework, appreciated across the world. This is being destroyed single-handedly by the Prime Minister without consulting his Cabinet and without studying the matter. 👉This is an attack on the states of India because they are simply taking... away money that belongs to the states and decision-making power that belongs to the states. 👉It is an attack on the infrastructure of the states because MGNREGA was used to build infrastructure. 👉It is the decimation of Indian labour because MGNREGA guaranteed a minimum floor below which Indian labour could not fall. 👉It is a devastating attack on the states and on the poor people of this country, carried out by the Prime Minister single-handedly. 👉It is going to cause tremendous pain to the weaker sections, to Adivasis, to Dalits, to OBCs, to poor general castes, and to minorities. 👉At the same time, it is going to benefit Mr. Adani in full measure. Pritzker: The decision by the Supreme Court today on the Voting Rights Act is an abomination. It is an attack on a crown jewel of our democracy. Illinois is the proud home to having sent more black congresspeople to Washington than any other state in the country. The decision that was made today by SCOTUS about the Voting Rights Act is an attack on minorities across this country. We're not going to stand for it in Illinois. We're going to push back. We have options for pushing back. And that is under discussion with the legislature even today. I talked to lawyers this morning, people who are experts in this, who've said that everything that we have in Illinois now is constitutional, even under the new ruling. I'm sure there will be people who try to attack it. But the reality is that if you read through the Supreme Court decision, I'm told that it validates the maps that are already in place. And of course, we'll be looking at a new remap in Illinois in 2031.

What people understood in the election clearly, and I saw it happening when I used to raise the Constitution, people understood what I was saying. They were saying that the BJP is attacking our tradition, attacking our language, attacking our states, attacking our histories. Most importantly, what they understood was that anybody who is attacking the Constitution of India is also attacking our religious tradition. That is why in my first speech in Parliament you must have noticed when I describe Abhayamudra, the fact that this is a symbol of fearlessness and it is present in every single Indian religion. When I was saying this, the BJP could not stand it. They don't understand, and we are going to make them understand. The other thing that happened was that the fear of the BJP vanished. We saw that immediately, within minutes of the election result, nobody in India was scared of the BJP or the Prime Minister of India. So these are huge achievements, not of Rahul Gandhi or the Congress party. We are peripheral. These are huge achievements of the people of India who realised democracy, of the people of India who realised that we are not going to accept an attack on our Constitution. MGNREGA is a lifeline for the poor. They are purposely destroying that Act and they want to make the poor villagers and farm labourers slaves of the rich. That's why we fought to retain the MGNREGA law, and all its provisions should remain as they are. I condemn the new law, which is only helping the government. Earlier, the share of funding was 90 per cent from the central government and 10 per cent from the state government, but now they have changed it to 60-40. This means they don't want to help the states. They want money from the state governments, and they want to reduce their own contribution. This clearly shows that they have no interest in the development of the poor. MGNREGA helped in COVID pandemic and poverty eradication and led to the development of roads, tanks, school buildings, Aanganwadi buildings, etc. But the Modi government is not liking that. They want to make the poor people even poorer and oppress them. We are going to agitate in each state, and it should be continued. Even the other Opposition parties are supporting us.

That is a big problem, and I know that's somewhat unrelated to Arctic Frost, but it actually is related to Arctic Frost, because you cannot get the justice for the people who are targeted by the Biden administration unless we've got good people, especially in these U.S. attorneys offices, and that's something we've got to pay attention to over the next year. Spying on President Trump, prosecuting him, investigating senators, congressmen, and congressmen who are just aligned with the President of the United States some of this stuff is going to get covered by statute of limitations, but some of this stuff we can and we should prosecute, and I'm just telling you, this is going to be a real problem, and the people who watch your show are going to get really pissed at Senate Republicans, excuse my language, if we don't have the U.S. attorneys on the ground to actually achieve justice, people are going to get angry, and rightfully so.
