That’s so sick cause this game has some of the best gameplay in the series and I can’t wait to see what kind of custom campaigns or levels people will make

The thief community survives on custom levels and mgs4 has good enough gameplay to have the same effect

I kinda want an entire mgs3 remake but with mgs4 gameplay lol I know delta exists but i feel that game lacks the inmediacy and spot on controls the original trilogy had

More gameplay in MGS4 is the stuff of fucking dreams so this is very exciting. I also imagine making custom VR mission levels would be feasible since they don't exactly have to be incredibly detailed or anything.

It's technically possible but the official statement (on mobile ATM):

@Drei6_Red_Eagle Weird take lmao. An actual MGO port would make the game playable for a lot of new people that don't have a decent pc, not to mention playing on Steam Deck or other handheld devices. Also mouse and keyboard support would be a thing.

@savemgo @Drei6_Red_Eagle Mouse is deliberately left out of the game because it'd fundamentally change the meta. So all it'd do is attract a few people who are curious enough to install mods but don't have the reqs to run RPCS3, which is definitely not many. And all the possible issues recreating the game

@HexHyte @Drei6_Red_Eagle Recreating the game is massive in my own non-professional view. THe job lets say only takes a year then what ur paying 60-80k gbp minimum for sm1 with that actual job. The MC2 meanwhile had hundreds of employees.

Would ve been cooler if you play as MGS 4 Big Boss or his head replacing Snake s head in this map which is like Snake re visiting Shadow Moses years later but here is Big Boss re visiting Grozny Grand years later

It's a mod test on having AI in the game. It's not a trailer for it. The whole point is the AI enemies existing and being tested. Modders have already got big boss etc swapped and what not though I believe. This means in the future people could be making new levels etc.

when I played mgs4 for the first time it was always really jarring to me how a lot of the levels seem to be empty. I was walking around and empty levels often it felt like. This is the PS3 I'm talking about.

@TiredAndOnFire This is literally the start of everything I’ve ever wanted for mgs4. I have no doubt in due time people will manage to port entire sections of other MGS games allowing you to utilize all the sneaking/combat mechanics of 4.

Oh this is super cool idea for a mod. Always wanted to see the online levels incorporated into single player sneaking missions.

The potential this could have is almost unlimited. This could allow someone to "restore" the escort part in Act 3, give the game its own extra ops, or even add 'VR Missions'... Goated Trigger 🙏🏻 MGS4 is getting a new lease on life.

It'd be really neat to see this snowball into more MGO-related mods down the line, like being able to play as unique characters in MGS4, or even just model+voice swaps in general. There's so much potential for modding MGS4. It's cool imagining CO-OP with a buddy playing Raiden.

This map is from the online component. Who knows. We could also play tomb of tubes which was cut out of MGS4 originally.

This was just a test of AI enemies. Any enemy type currently in the game in theory could be modified into the game.

I don't know but technically anything in the world is possible with time but reality, time and difficulty I have no idea.

I just realized. Tomb of Tubes is an MGO2 map. We can potentially restore the cut Act 3 segment where you escort Eva underground!

Imagine an MGO2R Vol 2. You take the graphics of Vol 2 and put it into MGO2R. That would be awesome 👌 For MGS4 Vol 2 they could of Added more enemy soldiers then mech all the time. Sometimes I wish MGS4 had more stage areas. Also wished no interconnected mission loading.
