Honestly the narrative that he can’t defend the run is funny to me. I do think he would defend the run better as an off ball LB but he can set the edge and stop the run from there at an above average rate

The only reason we get better defending the run is that Mazi Smith is on the field less often he no joke might be the worst player I’ve seen

He’s definitely not bad at it but he does wear down later in games and he’s just not big enough to consistently set the edge. It’s an exaggerated talking point because Dallas as a whole couldn’t stop the run.
