No offence but , If they call “The Passion of the Christ” a biopic , Then I would demand “Mahabharata” movies should be history and biopic.

the bigger record is the music biopic one. the $97M opening blew past Straight Outta Compton's $60M, which had held that mark since 2015. the story under the numbers is the third act. they shot a 1993 lawsuit thread, then a clause in the real settlement barred depicting the accuser, so the back third got reworked. the film now stops at the Bad tour.

Ryan Coogler is as bankable as any director in Hollywood right now: Sinners officially crossed $300 million worldwide. The film’s only been out since April 17th & it’s already the 3rd highest grossing horror film in the history of the US Box Office. Coogler’s time is now.

Spider-Man Brand New Day is now the second highest grossing film of all time at the domestic box office surpassing Avengers Endgame. People said superhero fatigue was real. Nobody wants to go to theaters. Make a good film. People will still show up. Papa Chen's verdict 7.8 out of 10. Best movie of 2026 so far.

I have waited five years for this moment and now the time has finally come I can finally reveal it to the world. I'm very happy to see Inside Out 2 dethrone the 2019 Lion King and properly become the highest grossing animated film of all time. Congrats to Pixar!

I wanted to see how far Astra can go. From the very beginning to this, it took 92% of the 5x subscription. And tens of iterations. Blender + Astra + access to all my local tools and scripts. My next question is how much of my own time do I have to now put in to make this usable.

The Odyssey Projectionist says "Universal or whoever made the decision" requested him to assemble the 70millimeter print manually “So this time around, it’s a little different. Instead of a giant reel with all of the film on it, Universal or whoever made the decision decided to have the projectionists assemble the print.” “Now, I don’t have a problem with this. I’ve worked on The Hateful Eight, Dunkirk, Oppenheimer, and now The Odyssey. The Odyssey has been the only run of 70 millimeter film in which they’re having the projectionist actually build the print.” “I watched the video about how to build the print using this equipment… it seems like it shouldn’t be that big of a problem, but it’s also the process in which the film can be scratched the easiest as they can…

That's a wrap on The Resurrection of the Christ — Mel Gibson's long-awaited sequel to The Passion of the Christ. After a massive 134-day shoot across Italy, director Mel Gibson took a microphone on set to personally thank the cast and crew for completing principal photography on the film, which has been over 20 years in development. The audio captured him saying: "Since I'm all yours here and I've got a microphone... I just want to tell you all thank you so much for all your efforts, your support, your sacrifice, your love, the encouragements all through, the prayers and intercessions, thank you all for everything great and everything “small”, in the end it was all worth it. Now it’s time to make sure the Lord gets glorified in all of this."

30 Days. One month. That’s all the separates us from Tom Cruise’s next film Digger. Easily one of my most anticipated films of 2026, if not the decade thus far, because this is the first non-IP, non-franchise film from Cruise in years. There’s no way around it: Digger is one of Tom Cruise’s biggest risks. It’s also perhaps Cruise’s biggest push for a dance with Oscar in the last 25 years. Expectations are through the roof but if there’s anyone who can meet them it’s Tom Cruise. The time is now.

I have a theory: Mel Gibson has seriously investigated the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. 1) Passion of the Christ 2 - a movie about His time in the spirit world and His resurrection. 2) Apocalypto - a movie about the Lamanites. 3) Conspiracy Theory - If you’ve seen the movie and you’ve entered the temple, you know exactly what I’m talking about. I was shocked when I saw it. 4) The Patriot - The Revolutionary War and the Restoration go hand-in-hand to Latter-day Saints. (also it’s a father-son oriented movie “he will turn The hearts of the fathers to the children, And the hearts of the children to their fathers” (conjecture, I admit)). 5) These two clips of him with Joe Rogan - He makes mention of his journey with archeologist, Richard Hansen, who is a Latter-day Saint. All these things on their own isn’t much to go off. All these things together…it makes perfect sense.
