Michael Jackson MOONWALK FIRST VS LAST (1983 vs 2001) Michael Jackson’s moonwalk represents one of pop culture’s most iconic evolutions. Debuted on television in 1983, it was originally short, snappy, and hesitant. My heart is broken. Today we said our final goodbye to Cheryl’s nephew Michael Hines one week short of his 21st birthday. Michael, who spent his life in a wheelchair from cerebral palsy, made himself the center hub for our family and of a giant community of friends. Michael was only marginally verbal and weighed only 65 pounds but his indomitable spirit, giant personality, and wide smile made him a blinding light in any room. A lifetime in a wheelchair never dampened his valiant soul and his heroics inspired all of us who were lucky enough to know him. At our wedding, he spent hours on the dance floor riding aloft on a hundred hands in front of the bandstand. His ecstatic laughter infected the crowd, the musicians, and caterers making it the most joyous event I ever attended. I relived that joy in our frequent FaceTime calls and on my visits to Florida and his to Cape Cod. He never complained. He was always grateful always brimming with gratitude, love, and kindness. Most of us work a lifetime to get into heaven. Michael had a ticket there the day he was born.

Michael had never claimed to have invented the moonwalk. “I was sitting in the back of a limousine staring out the window and I saw these kids standing around taking turns dancing and that’s where I saw it. One of them was doing the moonwalk. I had to get out and see it up close so I told the driver to stop and back up. I got out and crossed the street their corner of the sidewalk and asked him to show me how it was done and he did. I can’t ever take credit for it. It was that group of kids that taught me.”

In The Godfather, the script originally just said “Leave the gun.” Richard Castellano improvised by adding “…take the cannoli” It’s a callback to his on-screen wife’s earlier line. Coppola kept it, and it became one of cinema’s most iconic quotes.

Michael J. Fox kept his Parkinson’s diagnosis private for years after learning he had the condition in 1991. As he continued acting, medication helped control his symptoms, while Fox became increasingly conscious of his movements on camera and found ways to make his tremors less noticeable. One technique involved incorporating props into his performances. Holding or interacting with objects gave him ways to disguise certain movements while continuing to work without audiences realizing what he was experiencing. Fox publicly revealed his diagnosis in 1998 and later became one of the world’s most prominent advocates for Parkinson’s research. By turning a deeply personal challenge into a public mission, he helped raise awareness, inspire millions, and drive greater attention toward finding better treatments and ultimately a cure.

💕 It's one of those courtroom moments that melted hearts everywhere. In 2019, a 5-year-old boy named Michael Clark Jr. from Michigan invited his entire kindergarten class to his adoption hearing. Instead of making it a quiet legal proceeding, he wanted the people who mattered most — his friends — to be there when it became official. And they showed up. Dozens of tiny chairs filled the courtroom. His classmates held handmade paper hearts. When the judge finalized the adoption, the room erupted in cheers. The judge even told him, "This is one of the happiest days we've ever had in this courtroom." Michael had spent time in foster care before finding his forever family. On that day, he didn't just gain parents — he gained witnesses to his joy. It wasn't just an adoption. It was a celebration of belonging 💕

Michael Jackson at his hotel signing autographs to give to his fans through the window ❤️ Fans were never just an audience to Michael he adored them with pure, childlike love. Stuck in his golden cage of fame, he’d turn his hotel windows into a “happiness delivery service,” signing pillows, blankets, and notes that read “I love you more!” or “Please stay warm, it’s raining outside,” then tossing them down to the crowds waiting below. While security panicked, Michael was beaming with joy. This was his way of reaching the hearts that loved him back. True King of Pop with the biggest heart of all. ❤️👑

Five years ago, Mel Kiper said that if Lamar Jackson wasn’t “all in” on a transition to WR, it may view how teams feel about taking him in the second round. Lamar ended up being selected with the last pick in the first round and didn’t look back. In his second year, Lamar became just the second unanimous MVP in league history. As of now, Lamar has the highest career passer rating in his class (96.7). Most rushing yards for a QB in his class (4,437). And has the second most wins by a QB in his class (49). Jackson proved ALL the doubters wrong 🔥

Was Michael Jackson crushed by fame, or just the first person to identify as a different race? Onstage at 5. A No. 1 record at 11. A father who watched rehearsals with a belt in his hand. Then decades as the most famous person alive. His face changed, the surgeries multiplied, and his world shrunk until he could barely step outside. Childhood abuse. Unmatched fame. Not one normal day in 50 years.

As the new Michael biopic brings his journey back to the big screen, it's impossible to ignore one of the artists who shaped his style in those early day...Fred Astaire. From the smooth footwork and effortless spins to the sharp silhouettes, hats, and controlled stage presence, MJ never hid where he drew inspiration from. He studied legends, reimagined their artistry, and turned it into something the world had never seen before. These side-by-side moments are a reminder that even icons were inspired by someone first.

On September 30, 1972, Roberto Clemente penned his name into baseball’s history books one last time when he collected his 3,000th hit. He became the first Latino player to reach that milestone, and it was the final hit of his career. Roberto died tragically three months later when his plane crashed as he set out on a mercy mission to earthquake victims in Nicaragua. #ClementeDay

People constantly underestimate Michael Michael Saylor This is a founder who watched his company drop over 99% during the dot-com bust. When a man has already survived that level of pain, volatility, and public hate, you can't hurt him anymore. The true market bottom wasn't marked by forced selling; it was marked by everyone relentlessly dunking on Saylor and claiming his strategy was going to zero. Now, he's back in profit. Extreme conviction usually wins in the end.
