Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) pressed acting Attorney General Todd Blanche on whether he would meet with Epstein survivors within the next 30 days. Blanche pledged to make a member of his staff available to meet with them, but he would not commit to personally doing so. "I have never said I will not meet with survivors," Blanche said as he appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation hearing, adding that he is "prohibited from meeting directly with them." "I think you ought to be in the room because you ought to hear this. You had singular responsibility for these files," Durbin said.

Michael Popok on Katie Phang's Epstein lawsuit: "I think the judge lowers the boom after this. I think it's going to be contempt. And I think it's going to be fines. And I think it's going to be ordering people to appear in front of him for sworn testimony. Maybe even Todd Blanche. And so I think Todd Blanch has big problems in Judge Sullivan's courtroom."

I met with Todd Blanche and Pam Bondi after I questioned her in the Judiciary Committee. It was clear that he was involved with the botched release of the Epstein files. During tomorrow’s confirmation hearing, the Senate must demand accountability for survivors.

🚨 NOW: Sen. Dick Durbin (D) just used Epstein victims seated at AG Todd Blanche's confirmation hearing as POLITICAL PROPS DURBIN: Under oath within the next 30 days can you promise to hear their case?! BLANCHE: I have NEVER said I will not meet with survivors! If they have lawyers, I am prohibited from meeting directly with them. I met with counsel for survivors...we will work with their counsel. If they don't have a lawyer, I will make sure the right people at DOJ meet with them. I will get it done TODAY! DURBIN: You ought to be in the room. You are responsible for the Epstein Files! BLANCHE: I am part of it and have been from day one. I can keep repeating myself: we remain available to meet with ANY VICTIM's representative AT ANY TIME. Scott MacFarlane on Todd Blanche's confirmation hearing: "I can confirm, according to my latest reporting, each senator gets one turn and only one turn, and yes, there'll be a 10-minute timer that will buzz when they're done and they'll be cut off ... Todd Blanche has shown himself to be uniquely effective at filling gaps, filling time -- kind of an informal filibuster. He can take a simple question and make a meal out of it."

Epstein survivor Annie Farmer on meeting with Todd Blanche: "The interaction with him only strengthened my resolve to speak out against his confirmation. It felt that he was only meeting us because his hand was forced ... Many of us had questions. And ultimately, I felt really dissatisfied with the answers he provided ... he was not at all convincing that he cares about doing better in this case."

Phang: Blanche maintains that FOIA was my only and remains my only option. And then he has the balls to say the following. He says that my lawsuit "threatens the interdependence and the reciprocity between Congress and the executive branch." You know, folks, last I checked, I don't see a lot of interdependence or reciprocity between Congress and the executive branch. What I have seen, I've seen people like Todd Blanche, Pammy Jo with the bad hair, Kash Patel, Susie Wiles, JD Vance, and others, assembling repeatedly in the Situation Room at the White House with Todd Blanche quarterbacking strategy on how to avoid turning over the Epstein files to the American people. Does that sound like interdependence or reciprocity?

Sen. DURBIN: I'll never forget Todd Blanche’s hearing yesterday. He was asked if he’d meet with Epstein’s victims. In my office, he said yes. In the hearing, he said no. I met with them. I’ll never forget it. No member of the Senate should vote for him if they met with survivors.

Katie Phang: I have to keep my foot on the neck of AG Todd Blanche. I have now filed a reply to the latest stream of excuses from Blanche as to why he is protecting convicted felon Donald Trump and other members of the Epstein elite. And yet the top cop in the land, the Attorney General of the United States, remains committed to the bit of being personal counsel to convicted felon Donald Trump.
