Michael Saylor was asked on CNBC if Strategy is just a Ponzi scheme. His answer: "Just like developers in Manhattan issue debt to buy more real estate. That's why buildings are so tall. It's been going on for 350 years. I would call it an economy." Strategy just bought... show more

In real estate economy underlying asset has proven utility with broad consensus regarding value. In $Strategy economy underlying NGU🤞🏻tech powers a novel and yet to be stress tested “flywheel” market mechanism🙏🏻 Saylor’s $STRC prospectus says scheme is “inherently uncertain.”🤞🏻

Saylor’s answer is a Systems Dynamics argument in plain English. Debt-funded accumulation of a appreciating scarce asset is a reinforcing feedback loop — the more you accumulate, the stronger the case for accumulating more. Manhattan developers have been running that loop for 350 years because land is scarce. Strategy is running the same loop on the scarcest asset ever created. This isn’t a Ponzi. It’s a structure. I’ve written about why Saylor understood this from MIT long before 2020:

except real estate has actually use and value, bitcoin is nothing.

Nice!…glad to see you back at it @hurleyburt

fiat = ponzi

He’s very good at simplifying the narrative.

We are not bullish enough 🍊

Ya but BTC is nothing near being real estate.

Saylor understands that Bitcoin adoption can’t happen without Wall Street involvement.

Excellent video.

If I was invested in $strc I would be worried about bitcoin going on an insane bull run and everyone selling $strc to buy bitcoin. The stock could go no bud and you are holding worthless paper.

👀 Interesting answer

He’s back! Not on swan anymore ?

He’s framing it as a classic playbook, using leverage to accumulate a scarce, high-conviction asset. That’s how entire asset classes have been built over time. When conviction meets capital at scale, outcomes can compound fast.

The tokeniztion on top of $strc seems like such a bad idea.

Real State = well, real Bitcoin = less than vapor

I do agree that sound money will help with wealth inequality.

Wrong, you can collect your dividend as Bitcoin, as per the website states. So you can take it with you.
