Richard Dawkins first referred to himself as a "cultural Christian" 19 years ago on a BBC program. This isn't some big new thing that a lot of people are trying to make it out to be. "I'm not one of those who wants to stop Christian traditions. This is historically a Christian country. I'm a cultural Christian in the same way many of my friends call themselves cultural Jews or cultural Muslims. So yes, I love singing carols along with everybody else, I'm not one of those who want to purge our society of our Christian history."

“Zionism did not originate with Jews.” This is categorically false. Period. Not up for debate. John Nelson Darby did not invent, theorize or encourage Zionism. Darby is the father of dispensationalism. Dispensationalism IS NOT Zionism. If you don’t understand the difference you have no business speaking on the subject. Christian Zionism as a viable political movement did NOT emerge until *AFTER* the 1967 War. Does that mean Christian Zionists are blameless for our current state? Of course not. But this is a radical rewriting of history to claim Zionism originated with Darby or even so-called “Christian Zionists” of the 19th century.
