That music with lyrics being spoken while Micheal Caine speaks ruins this otherwise good recitement of one of the best poems.

Imagine putting terrible music over the majestic voice of Sir Micheal Caine and thinking “yes! I’ve made this better!”

This is the moment where Birbalsingh concedes her position and the entire civnat argument. Clearly if the country solely consists of foreigners, even if they’ve memorised every Kipling poem, it is not Britain.

Ahead of England v Mexico tonight I think everyone should watch this rendition of “If” by Rudyard Kipling from the film Mike Bassett: England Manager. Overall a very silly and satirical film, but this reading of the poem is actually inspiring. I’ll be there at 1am.
