Michelle Pfeiffer performed the iconic mannequin scene in Batman Returns (1992) herself, without a stunt double, using a 12-foot bullwhip. After months of training, she successfully whipped the heads off four mannequins in a single, uninterrupted take, which stunned the crew and was featured in the final film.

During the filming of Avatar, the NZ stunt crew performed a hāka as a thank you for choosing to film in NZ. Moved by the performance, Jim asked if the hāka could be featured in the film. A new hāka was created and performed by the stunt crew. The scene was sadly cut for time. 1/2

Michelle Pfeiffer trained with a real bullwhip for BATMAN RETURNS and became so proficient that the production often filmed her cracking and using the whip for real.

Michelle Pfeiffer went through 60 catsuits during Batman Returns (1992). The vacuum-sealed latex was so tight she could only wear it for short bursts, and she often had to be covered in talcum powder just to squeeze into the iconic costume.

In Batman Returns, Michelle Pfeiffer literally put the bird on her mouth in this scene. There was no CGI. Bird wasn’t sedated neither. Tim Burton said: "I don't think I've ever been so impressed in my life. She had a live bird in her mouth while the camera was rolling.”
