And if you nurture them and give them the right environment to flourish, then they can really become anything. And I think that's a very important thing to realize the more that you get older, because it's really easy to limit yourself and limit others and be like, oh no, that's just the way they are. I don't know why White women bother with having these hairstyles done, but you can tell that the braider did it as tight as possible to maximise pain. And the OP and the commenters support that theory. They just enjoy inflicting pain. It's who they are. And they're not going to change just because you're nice to them, so stop trying. Don't be friendly to them. Don't buy anything from their businesses. Don't pay pay for their services. Just disengage from them entirely.
