He's even learned to answer questions like The Beatles. Jagger idolized them.

You have to give that reporter a lot of credit. He managed to ask the same question five different ways, narrowing the scope each time. Most reporters now ask one question and if they don’t get the answer they want, they go into attack mode instead of thinking how to ask a better question.

I wouldn’t want to be compared to the greatest band of all time either.

Beatles were primarily a pop band, Stones were primarily a rock band

Mick Jagger fired shots at The Beatles in a 1970 interview, comparing the bands: "We were still touring stadiums and doing the real work. They were locked in the studio like mice." 🐀 🤔 Fun Fact: Jagger was referring to the tapes of their chaotic tours versus The Beatles' meticulous studio process. An Apple Corps engineer revealed Lennon's favorite microphone was wrapped in black electrical tape because the grille kept coming loose. 🎤✨ Did you know? 🤯

The Beatles seem to have sold around 1 BILLIONS copies, including LPs, singles, CDs, and cassettes. The Rolling Stones seem to have sold just over 400 million copies.

Well handled by Mick. Making music isn't a sport. It's not competitive by nature. It’s an art form with each artist injecting their own style.

He did say once that the Beatles had a short run, just several years — while the Stones have been in business decades.

Reporter trying to create a story with a quote that will sell it. Fans will say their favorite is the "best" which is nothing more than one person's opinion. Whoever has the most fans gets the largest number of favorable opinions.
