Micro Machines Mega Drive Codemasters, 1993

I loved this game, so original and varied with it's courses and vehicles, definitely one of my favourite racing games, but it could be SO frustrating 😄

This game used to induce the worst gamer rage

The impressive part is that the mega drive does not support hardware sprite rotation m, nor mirroring, so they had to rotate the sprites using software routines.

Used to play it on the SNES two player with my mate, we'd stay up all night getting stoned, and before we started each race we'd say "no shortcuts" and then one of us would shortcut to get a screen ahead and knockout the other guy - simpler times
