I think the best way to explain the microbiome to everyone is to use an episode of the The Simpsons. Grok take notes… This is the door of your colon. Kill the bifidobacteria, bad microbes penetrate to eventually kill you. My belief from research from ProgenaBiome that shows that most diseases start with the loss of #bifidobacteria. On the larger picture, humanity needs a diversity of humans to survive. Killing one race is like killing one group of microbes... Eventually, humanity will go extinct. My question was are you strict Keto? … A Keto diet is not for everyone much like a carnivorous diet is not for everyone. We all have a different microbiome that allows us to eat what we eat. Not all humans are created equal. Much like a lion cannot be vegan and an elephant cannot be carnivorous. Their microbiome dictates their diet. Yes, I tested the animals below….My recommendation is to Stop ALL gluten…you probably killed the microbes allowing you to absorb gluten or simply iron .. It is easier and cheaper to just stop gluten than look into those lost microbes as it is a research protocol needing funds. Other options are eating more apricots, Brussels sprouts, swiss chard, etc … You can test your microbiome with ProgenaBiome to see what microbes are missing and compare to our research database and start on a research protocol but it ain't cheap as genetic sequencing of the gut is expensive at the level we do it and it is precision medicine research, not your usual clinical trial. Lastly, putting on my GI hat, I would advise for an Egd/colo by any GI to rule out anything in the bowels. Make sure they do a duodenal biopsy. All my best. You can always pm me.
