The Gulfstream G200 aircraft with registration N318JK, had departed from La Romana bound for Austin Airport, Texas, United States, when the emergency occurred that forced the crew to return to the airport terminal. The aircraft managed to return to the vicinity of the airport; however, during the landing maneuver it suffered an accident that caused the death of its two crew members. Aeronautical records indicate that the aircraft belongs to Aibonito Aviation, based in San Juan, Puerto Rico!

Also released were service members of the State Border Guard Service, the National Guard, and the State Special Transport Service. Many of them spent nearly two years in captivity. Many have serious injuries and health issues. Most are officers. We know each and every one. We are bringing everyone back. And we continue working to return all. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible every day — and especially to our defenders who stood strong in captivity. Glory to Ukraine!

On February 16, 2026, at approximately 8:50 p.m., members of Rescue Company 1, other FDNY units and our partners at the NYPD NEWS operated on the Queensboro Bridge during a confined space rescue, locating a victim approximately 50 feet inside one of the bridge’s anchorages. Through coordinated teamwork, communication, and the use of specialized rope rescue equipment, members were able to safely remove the victim from the structure. Operations like this remind us just how important continuous training and preparation is for our members, ensuring they’re ready to operate safely and effectively in complex and high-risk environments.
