The Circle 🐜 Nobody told the ant about the circle. That, as far as anyone can tell, is the whole problem. A researcher named Kostowski – this was in the early 1970s, at a laboratory in Warsaw that smelled permanently of formaldehyde and institutional coffee – discovered quite by accident that if you draw a continuous line around an ant using a felt-tip pen, the ant will not cross it. It will walk right up to the line, pause with what appears to be genuine philosophical unease, and turn back. It will do this indefinitely. For hours. Sometimes for days. The ant is not stupid. Let’s be clear about that. The creature you are looking at in this photograph – this tiny, improbable machine of chitin and chemical signals, this six-legged marvel that can carry fifty times its own body weight and navigate by polarized light – has a brain roughly the size of a pinhead, and yet that brain contains approximately 250,000 neurons dedicated entirely to making sense of the world. It has survived as a species for 130 million years. It watched the dinosaurs arrive, flourish, and disappear, and then went back to work. And yet here it is. Trapped by a drawing. The reason is chemistry, not cognition. Ants navigate by pheromones – volatile chemical compounds that their legs read like a blind man reads braille. When they encounter the solvent in a felt-tip pen, something in their nervous system fires an alarm. The signal says: boundary. The signal says: edge of the known world. And the ant, loyal to its chemistry in the way that all of us are loyal to ours, obeys. This is the part that stays with you if you think about it too long. The ant’s prison has no walls. No bars. Stanford researchers did it again. They just built the agent-native version of Git. When an agent works on a longer task, the run builds up a lot of state. This includes files edited/created, a dev server, a database, installed packages, KV cache, etc. Say the agent is at step 10 and makes a mistake, maybe it misreads a traceback and rewrites a file that was actually fine. The tests start failing, and the run goes off track, although everything through step eight was correct. By default, the agent just tries to fix it, which creates more edits and tool calls. This burns more tokens and grows the context. The other options are a person stepping in to redirect it or restarting the whole run from step one. That's wasteful, because it pays for every model/tool call again and re-prefills the context. Moreover, since an agent's run is non-deterministic, it doesn't reproduce the same early steps anyway. The reason it's hard to just jump back exactly to a previous correct step and resume from there is that the trajectory is only a message log. It records what the agent said and which tools it called, but not the live state underneath. That state includes things like memory, open file handles, child processes, installed packages, /tmp, and KV cache. None of that is in the log. Git can version the files, but it doesn't snapshot the running process or the KV cache. Checking out step eight moves the files back, but the process is still sitting in step-ten memory with a cold cache. Shepherd is a runtime layer by Stanford that records the run as a trace of typed events rather than a flat log. Each agent-environment interaction becomes a commit, similar to Git, but it tracks the live run. Its commit includes the agent process and the filesystem together, copy-on-write, so a branch carries the actual state and not just the files. Going back to a previous step is then a single call that forks from that commit and continues from the exact state. The copy-on-write fork is roughly five times faster than docker commit, and because the prompt prefix through step eight is unchanged, the KV cache is reused over 95% on replay, so early steps aren't reprocessed again. Once the run can be forked, a meta-agent can sit on top and operate it. It watches the trace and reverts as soon as it looks wrong, before the bad write is committed. In practice, it's just Python calling fork, replay, and revert on the trace, rather than a separate control plane wired into the harness. Not everything is reversible though. Files and sandbox changes undo themselves, but a database write has no automatic undo, so it needs a matching undo step set up in advance. Something external, like a sent email or a real charge, can't be undone, so the supervisor's job there is to catch it before it fires. They tested this on a few public benchmarks. On CooperBench, where two agents work on the same codebase, adding a live supervisor took the pair-coding pass rate from 28.8% to 54.7%. It's still early and labeled alpha. The benefit mostly shows up when a run gets branched a lot over a heavy sandbox state, which is exactly where restarting wastes the most tokens and time. If Git was made to make file changes reversible, Shepherd is trying to do the same thing for a live agent run. Friends don’t let friends die in those quantities. The Ukrainians have been displaced by the tens of millions. “Friends don’t let friends have their cities destroyed in this manner. Friends don’t let friends have families separated, have mothers and children destined to a life of refugee status in perpetual poverty. That’s not how friends behave. “America has never been the friend of Ukrainians, and we are not the friends of the Filipinos. We don’t like you. If we did like you, we wouldn’t be doing this to you. “We are using you. You are a tool, nothing but a tool. And when the tool ceases to be useful, we will discard you. “And discard you means usually after a war that devastates you. We are using you to gain some sort of momentary leverage over the Chinese. We will fail. “The Chinese will win, and you will be destroyed. End of story. It’s high time the Filipino people pressure their government to start sitting down and engaging the Chinese government responsibly. “China is not your enemy. China is your neighbor. China is your friend. “China doesn’t want war. And if you would engage China in diplomacy, and as we’ve all indicated here, America has long since lost the skill set necessary to carry out diplomacy. But the Filipinos, the Philippine people can reignite this, to relearn it, to use this skill to prevent a war. “But if you continue to behave as colonial subjects, and I know that’s a sore, sore, sore subject of the Filipino, because you were the colonial subjects of America. We still view you as our colonial subjects. We don’t like you. “We don’t care about you. We just want to use you. Grow up. “Grow up and act responsibly. Take control of your own future. BILL GATES WHERE THE ART THOU?! I hope you're watching the Tesla Semi event tonight... Tesla opens the Semi factory tonight at 6pm PT, live on 𝕏. In 2020 Bill wrote that an electric 18-wheeler would probably NEVER work. "The problem is that batteries are big and heavy. The more weight you're trying to move, the more batteries you need to power the vehicle. But the more batteries you use, the more weight you add, and the more power you need. Even with big breakthroughs in battery technology, electric vehicles will probably NEVER be a practical solution for things like 18-wheelers. Electricity works when you need to cover short distances, but we need a different solution for heavy, long-haul vehicles." BTW, he also bet against the company... he shorted $TSLA. In 2022 Elon texted him and asked if he still had a $ half-billion-dollar short position against Tesla. And he did. On December 17, 2025, Elon said that short was about 1% of Tesla's shares, and that it might have cost Gates over $10 billion by now. Elon even once said Gates told him in person, at Giga Texas, that a long-range Semi was impossible. The Tesla team has been grinding over the years as people gave up on the Tesla Semi program... every year it slipped, more of them walked away. In The Master Plan, Elon wrote the goal down on July 20, 2016... Tesla was NOT going to stop at cars. Heavy trucks had to go electric too, bc that is where a ton of the fuel actually gets burned. The team showed the Semi on November 16, 2017 and PepsiCo took the first ones in December 2022, hauling real freight with them ever since. And tonight they are opening the factory. The building is 1.7 million square feet, next to Gigafactory Nevada. Tesla sized it for up to produce 50,000 Semis a year. And Dan Priestley has said there will be many thousands by the end of 2026. So here are the facts. 1/ Standard Range is about 325 miles. Long Range is about 500. Both of those are at a full 82,000 lb load. 2/ It uses about 1.7 kWh per mile. A diesel Class 8 usually gets around 6 to 7 miles per gallon. A gallon of diesel holds about 38 kWh of energy. At 7 mpg that is a little over 5 kWh of fuel burned every mile. The Semi uses 1.7. The diesel is burning about 3 times the energy to move the same freight. 3/ The long range truck can take up to 1.2 megawatts. Tesla says about 60% of the battery comes back in 30 minutes. That is a driver’s required break, and on the 500-mile truck it is on the order of 300 miles. There is also a 25 kW outlet on the truck, so a refrigerated trailer can run off the battery. 4/ After the driver, fuel is one of the biggest bills a fleet has. $4 diesel at 7 mpg is about 57 cents a mile. Electricity at 15 cents a kWh and 1.7 kWh a mile is about 26 cents a mile. The direction is a lot less $ money per mile, and the price of electricity does not swing around the way diesel does. You also drop the oil changes, the diesel exhaust fluid, and the emissions equipment that keeps parking diesel trucks in the shop. Regenerative breaking slows the truck down, so the brakes last longer. It's clearly a financially better decision for businesses. 5/ Medium and heavy trucks were 23% of US transportation emissions. Transportation was the largest source of America’s direct emissions. These trucks are a small share of the vehicles, yet a huge share of the fuel. Take one diesel doing 100,000 miles a year at 7 mpg. That is about 14,300 gallons. The EPA puts about 22.5 pounds of CO2 in a gallon of diesel. Call it 145 metric tons a year, out of one tailpipe. The Tesla Semi also has no tailpipe, no diesel soot, no NOx on the street next to the warehouse, the port, or the school by the highway. A diesel is stuck burning diesel for the rest of its life. 6/ 800 kW is about 1,070 horsepower, from three motors. A lot of diesel tractors are 400 to 600 horsepower, and a full trailer makes them crawl on a grade while cars stack up behind. The Tesla Semi has the power to keep its speed. Tesla says those three motors can also catch a jackknife. The battery sits low, which makes the truck harder to roll. And Tesla Semis are designed for autonomy. 7/ PepsiCo has been running Semis since December 2022. Einride ordered 500, starting this month, across California, Texas, New Jersey, Illinois, and Georgia, including Amazon freight. This week ZET SCALE, a shipper group with Microsoft and PepsiCo in it, picked Tesla as the primary truck for a program of up to 2,500 electric Class 8 trucks. Tesla’s own account said 2,500 Semis. Kenworth, Volvo, and RIDE are also named in that deal, so the split is one of the things to listen for tonight. IMC ordered 50 for California port runs. DHL and ABF already bought after real pilots. Semis spotted at the factory today already had customer logos on them - PepsiCo, US Foods, DHL, Einride, ABF, IMC, WattEV, OK Produce, and more. So Bill, I hope you’re watching tonight. The truck you said would probably NEVER work is now getting its own 1.7-million-square-foot factory ready to be built at scale. The debate over whether an electric 18-wheeler can exist is over. 🔊Church: ANOTHER PROPHETIC WEEK!! The window of “PEACE AND SAFETY” that God has been warning us about is beginning to crack open!!! While we were watching missiles fly over Iran, something historic happened — Lebanon may recognize Israel as a nation, establishing borders that have never truly been settled before. Hezbollah — the most powerful Iranian proxy — is taking its first step toward “peace and safety” in the region!! GOD IS CLOSING THE DOOR ON THE GENTILE AGE AND IS ABOUT TO OPEN THE DOOR TO ISRAEL’S FINAL CHAPTER! KEEP LOOKING UP!! First, a quick recap of what took place this past week: ⏳ DAY 18 OF THE WAR: The bow is still breaking. Iran's Intelligence Minister was killed this week — another prince falling — Jeremiah 49:38 continuing to unfold. Trump called Iran "totally decapitated," accidentally using the exact language of a prophecy written 2,600 years ago. The U.S. dropped 5,000-pound deep-penetrator bombs on Iranian missile sites along the Strait of Hormuz — breaking the very systems Iran would use to threaten or shut the strait. Oil is above $100. Iran is still being helped by Russia. Turkey is forging closer ties with Iran and Russia. The hook in Ezekiel 38 is strengthening, world alliances are forming, and the sequence continues exactly as Scripture described. 🛎️ But check this out! This week, as we were watching missiles fly over Tehran, something quiet was happening on Israel’s northern border — one of the most prophetically significant developments of this war so far. France stepped in with a proposal to end the war between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon. At first glance, it sounds like just another Middle East peace plan…It’s not! Watch these details: 👉🏼 Lebanon would formally recognize Israel — for the very first time since 1948! That would end a 77-year state of war, a conflict that has existed since Israel was founded. 👉🏼 Hezbollah would stop attacks and be disarmed — or at the very least, the Lebanese government would take full control and prevent any attacks from its territory. The Lebanese army would move south of the Litani River —north of Israel’s border, which has served as a dividing line between Israel and Hezbollah. 👉🏼 UN Resolution 1701 would finally be enforced — removing Hezbollah’s military presence from southern Lebanon, something that was supposed to happen after 2006… but never did. 👉🏼 Permanent, internationally recognized borders — replacing lines that have remained disputed since 1948 — would be finalized by the end of 2026. (A very interesting timeframe if the Tribulation begins in the fall with the “confirming of the covenant”.) 👉🏼 France offered to host direct talks in Paris — the first real negotiations between Israel and Lebanon in decades. 👍🏼French President Emmanuel Macron said Lebanese leadership — President Joseph Aoun, Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, and Speaker Nabih Berri — are open to it. Lebanon has already accepted this framework as a starting point for talks, seeking to avoid further destruction and reduce Iran and Hezbollah’s grip on the country. Let me say this again: 1️⃣Lebanon — offering direct talks with Israel for the first time in decades. 2️⃣Hezbollah — the most powerful proxy army Iran built — being disarmed and pushed out. A 77-year state of war coming to an end, basically since Israel became a nation. 3️⃣Permanent borders being drawn on Israel’s northern edge. This isn’t just a line — that border has never been truly settled. Now it’s being defined. This is the difference between a war line and a real border since they became a nation. But here’s where it gets a bit intense: ❌Israel said no. Israel’s leadership responded: “talks aren’t enough. You can’t negotiate while rockets are still coming.” So Israel is not settling for dialogue — it is pushing for dismantling. Hezbollah’s weapons must be seized, its rocket and drone systems destroyed, and its military power completely removed. Why is this a big deal then? ✅Why? Because Lebanon is finally moving toward peace after 77 years —the path is being set! The conversation has shifted from “Should Israel exist?” to “What conditions are required for peace?” Peace is on its way, and that’s a completely different reality than before! A historical moment!! 🔴 FALSE PEACE — PAY ATTENTION This proposal is not perfect. Lebanon’s recognition is still conditional. Hezbollah still has influence. Full normalization is not guaranteed. And that’s exactly the point. ☮️Ezekiel 38:11 does not require perfect peace — it requires false peace. False peace by definition looks real — until it is not. Just convincing enough for Israel to lower its guard. What’s being built right now — imperfect as it is — is the exact kind of framework that eventually gets confirmed. 📖 “He shall confirm a covenant with many for one week…” Daniel 9:27 The Antichrist doesn’t create peace from nothing. He steps into what’s already forming — and seals it. 💥This proposal is the removal of one of the big guns that have been pointed at Israel since it became a nation, and it’s happening at the same time Iran/the bow of Elam is being broken. 🔥The ring of fire around Israel is being taken apart — piece by piece — all at once! This is the real peace window that Scripture is talking about!! 📖 “A peaceful people who dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having neither bars nor gates.” Ezekiel 38:11 That condition — a false sense of peace and security — is being built right now out of the rubble of this war. And to understand why that matters so deeply… you have to see the structure God laid out in Ezekiel. 🔑 WHY 1948 MATTERS SO MUCH This is not just a diplomatic milestone. This is a prophetic one. 🗓️1948 — the year the dry bones came together. The year Israel was brought back into the land and reborn as a nation against all odds — “bone to bone,” exactly as prophesied in Ezekiel 37, the very chapter God placed right before Ezekiel 38. (Keep this in mind) ⚔️And on that very same day — the Arab world declared war. Lebanon among them. A state of war that has lasted 77 years! Through generations, through multiple conflicts, through the rise and fall of empires — has never formally ended. Until possibly now! As signups skyrocketed, I wasn’t reviewing applicants in a timely fashion (yes those long waitlist times were in part due to my ineptitude), so Mollie, my bff since 14, moved to San Francisco to take over our vetting process, ensuring we drafted a diverse founding class of All-Stars. When I was drowning in support tickets, Jeff (my best friend’s husband) & Meredith (my first employee who became a best friend), replaced me as League Concierge so I could fix bugs & hire an engineering leader to rewrite the app for scale. I feel blessed I had my mom, brother, & best friends to lean on at the beginning of what I can only describe as a roller-coaster-marathon journey. Their heavy lifting allowed me to get The League off the ground, & turn it into a profitable business attractive to Match, all on $2.3M raised. Fast forward nearly 9 years & now, with Match behind us, we can finally swing for the fences to fulfill The League’s potential to be much more than a dating app for ambitious singles. We’re leveraging their best-in-class trust & safety AI tools & sophisticated ML systems refined over decades that we could not have built ourselves. We’re investing in marketing (new campaign coming soon) & hiring Execs - I can finally hand over the product & marketing reins to better operators than myself. As for me? I’ll get to focus on our long-term roadmap & envision the future of dating.
