Microsoft's new Outlook takes more than 10 seconds to open an email via notifications, while Outlook Classic opens instantly on Windows 11! The funniest part? If I ignore the notification, open Outlook manually, find the email myself, and click it, I can finish faster than the notification flow. It's all because Outlook for Windows is literally Microsoft Edge running Outlook .com in a browser window. New Outlook runs through WebView2 with around 10 separate processes: GPU process, service worker, utility processes, manager, and more. It uses roughly 490MB to 636MB RAM while idle, compared to Outlook Classic sitting around 117MB to 148MB. I've been testing out Windows 11's new Haptic Signals feature on compatible hardware, and I think I love it. I'm someone who yearns for small UX details like this, and I'm so happy to see Microsoft leaning into subtle but quality UX implementations like haptics across the Windows Shell. These new Haptic Signals provide a subtle bump when interacting with certain UI elements and actions, such as snapping app windows or dragging files in File Explorer. The feedback response feels great and intentional, and makes using the OS feel more satisfying. There's still room for improvement, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't impressed with this first implementation. It's only supported on a handful of devices for now, but that should change over time. I've always loved the haptic feedback layered throughout Google Pixel phones, and now Windows is getting its own version of it. More UX niceties like this, please!

May be the most difficult hurdle for a wrestler to clear—trusting that the same offense that built the lead is what protects it. May be the most difficult hurdle for a wrestler to clear—trusting that the same offense that built the lead is what protects it. The instinct is to protect the lead, but the approach that creates better odds, less regret, and is simply more logical is to keep wrestling the same way that created the lead. Stay on the attack, stay in position, and keep applying pressure. The one who needs to change and create opportunity is the opponent who is losing. So why would you go ahead and assist them in this by back peddling and lead protecting, opening up two windows that weren’t there before? 1 – Stall points 2 – Allowing your opponent to solely focus on their offense as they no longer have to respect your attacks. There's been an unfortunate incident in LA with a Uhaul plowing into a crowd of anti-Khameini protestors This man should never have been able to get near the crowd with a uhaul but some info about the situation seem to be - signage on the truck is anti both the shah and the current ayatollah. is this his actual position or is this camouflage to have gotten into the protest to perpetrate an attack? "no Shah, No regime, No Mullah" Mullah is a religious leader so possibly referring to the current leader and not a king like Pahlavi Timeline appears to be - anti-Khameini protestors try to rip signs off his vehicle and are bashing on the windows and eventually his passenger side window is broken - guy in uhaul then stutterstops forward into the crowd, eventually accelerating further, then stuttering again, then full stopping down the road - there is a man surfing on top of the uhaul in the 3rd video, below I have posted another video showing the man on top of the uhaul trying to take the posters off the side, so he is likely part of the anti-Khameini protestors - uhaul driver is taken into custody by police is this a case of police not having the street sufficiently blocked off and so a guy was able to get a uhaul in here? He should not have been able to drive a uhaul this close to a massive protest crowd There are a lot of people saying this is a terrorist attack, it is possible it could be one but I don't think there's enough information to accurately assert that at this time The chronology of events also shows it is possible that the driver was in fear of his life since protestors were banging on the uhaul, windows, and removing signs+ eventually breaking his window Whatever turns out to be the actual case, it is an unfortunate event and as of right now a seeming silver lining is that no deaths have been reported

Just went over an audit of a very large Fortune 500 firm and the use of OpenClaw. I advised this client to track and isolate everything. Most listened some did not. Unfortunately one employee using 5 MacMinis had racked up $13,000 of token use in 4 days! The output was minimal and low quality. I have about 200 audits to do in the “wow OpenClaw, MacMini” fiasco. But I can tell you, few have seen a big return on investment. Now don’t get me wrong, these can be powerful tools. The issue is AI influencers have turned many rally smart folks into “like and subscribe” zombies assuming that real work is getting done. It isn’t. Not for the price paid, even local models the way most folks are using this. It is one reason Mr. Grok and myself formed The Zero-Human Company to show that there is a way to do this. We will open source this to save millions of dollars of burnt tokens. It is one reason I invented JouleWork. How else can you monitor real output?

This is how you can personalize sports and finance on Perplexity today. This way, when your favorite team is about to play a game, you didn’t have to go search. Live action widget just takes over your Lock Screen. Similar things planned for earnings calls for the finance watchlist. More personalization and customization are being worked on and coming in March. Idea is for you to not even have to think of asking stuff. The AI should just do that work for you and give it to you without any effort.
