Microsoft is testing a new Xbox Home UI dashboard update that lets you enable game art backgrounds with any dynamic or regular background. Much better than having to use a default background to get the game art feature 👍

Was this not a thing on the OG Xbox One's dashboard? I remember game art based backgrounds was around back then when you hover over a game icon on the home screen. That was back when we had the Snap feature too.

it's been a feature on this latest dashboard since last year, this just improves it

They also added an option to change the dynamic background accent color (the abstract ones which are color based) even if your account accent color is different 👏

yeah, it's a nice quality of life improvement

Just copy the Steam OS for the console and call it a day or let us have more customization like Steam Deck
