Microsoft just integrated music creation app Suno into its Copilot AI. Music, lyrics, all instruments and singing by AI. A version similar will be in open source soon. 100 billion “new” “songs” soon. I’m sorry. Prompt: “Make a metal song about baseball”.

Knowing this for decades was a burden. Now I am free from this, it is all of our thoughts:

Oh just metal you say no, more GMO music in any genre. All you can eat buffet, eat, eat, eat…

There is another angle to this. Know this will not stop. The question is how do you adjust? We must face the future head on and go to the drangon’s cave to defeat the dragon:

Holy effing shit....

Wow. Does that suck! Musicians are safe.

Mike, Unfortunately “good enough” rules the world. Look around lots of Fords, McDonalds and Starbucks. This is the world we voted for.

Nobody would buy the songs though. They would just create new ones whenever their playlists get boring. Hmm, I wonder if there's something like that for linux 🤔

I hear ya. I did research on 4500 Spotify playlists for a client. I am very sorry to say most are redundant and boring. Try this research yourself. Few stray from a core of 6 songs. It hurts to know this on levels that few can understand today.

Orwell was right again: In George Orwell's novel "1984," there is mention of computer-generated music The music in "1984" is described as being produced by the "versificator," a machine that generates functional and propaganda-laden music and literature, devoid of genuine emotion and creativity The versificator represents the Party's efforts to remove the human element from art, turning it into a tool for control and indoctrination.

Gives a whole new meaning when your kid shows you something they drew "Nice! you did that yourself?"
