I mean, this is an official app, so it's legit. But technically it's not a Midjourney release and wasn't developed by their team. Another thing to consider that things you generate in the app don't show up on Discord or the website, at least currently.

While generative AI has achieved great success and shown the potential to reshape the creative industry, it remains a challenge to generate coherent and engaging content with arbitrary size and controllable style, concept, and layout, all of which are essential for visual storytelling. To overcome the shortcomings of previous methods including repetitive content, style inconsistency, and lack of controllability, we propose MagicScroll, a multi-layered, progressive diffusion-based image generation framework with a novel semantic-aware denoising process. The model enables fine-grained control over the generated image on object, scene, and background levels with text, image, and layout conditions. We also establish the first benchmark for nontypical aspect-ratio image generation for visual storytelling including mediums like paintings, comics, and cinematic panoramas, with customized metrics for systematic evaluation. Through comparative and ablation studies, MagicScroll showcases promising results in aligning with the narrative text, improving visual coherence, and engaging the audience. Today, I set out to create a short film by combining a 3D style for the main character with a realistic rendering for the environment. I used mitte.ai for this, which offers a wide range of AI generation tools (video and images): character creation style development creation of certain shots in the film animation I found the result very interesting, and I think there’s definitely something worth exploring further in this direction. (As for the humor, it’s still very much a kids-style film haha… We’ll experiment with more variety in the next ones once we have a bit more time!) ⬇️ Link below ⬇️

I’m really proud of a lot of the shots I have been able to achieve lately with the adherence to prompts getting so good it’s a level of creative control I e been dying for and really starting to make me actual dreams come true for just myself working with these tools! Prompting is such a unique and creative aspect of what we all do in AI. Knowing when to prompt long form and when not to, what keyword tokens and how they are applied in sequence, structure and formatting, they all matter. Especially with the models not needing extensive prompts, that’s actually where you can shine with how you use it because sometimes simpler is better but in other instances extensive motion/movement detail can be the difference maker for a cool shot or a spectacular one. I’ve been focusing a lot on shot development prompts and structure testing and I’ve managed to find a sweet spot. I’m Gonna put together a little rundown on how I did some of mine next week for this film. 🙌😎🔥💯🎥

Especially with the models not needing extensive prompts, that’s actually where you can shine with how you use it because sometimes simpler is better but in other instances extensive motion/movement detail can be the difference maker for a cool shot or a spectacular one. I’ve been focusing a lot on shot development prompts and structure testing and I’ve managed to find a sweet spot. Ok, so the new Midjourney Style Tuner is here and it's a MASSIVE update. There is so much to unpack, no way I can do it all in one post, but here is an overview. You start by typing in /tune followed by your prompt. MJ will generate a range of sample images (between 16-128) showing different visual styles based on your prompt. Then you choose your favorite images from the sample to generate a unique code you can use to customize the look of future jobs. (link below) So for example, I just tried it with the prompt: 💬 1990s, a photo of a woman dressed in fuzzy velour, shimmering midnight hues reflecting sadness by the lake, a contemporary nightmare on cross-processed film --ar 4:5 --c 4 I selected 10 images, which generated the code zlPhgLCHDXol64kPlwSUzu97. I can then add it to my prompt using --style {code} But it makes more sense if you try it yourself, so try playing around with my Style Tuner for that prompt and generate your own code from your selections: Some quick notes: -You can control the level of style applied by adding the --s parameter to your prompt. -You can combine multiple styles together by separating with a hyphen, i.e --style code1-code2 I will be obsessing over this all day tomorrow and sharing everything I learn along the way.
