ZANU-PF Information and Publicity Director, Cde Farai Marapira, stated that the issue of succession will not be on the agenda at the upcoming ZANU-PF Conference scheduled to take place in Mutare from October 10 to 23, 2025. He clarified that matters concerning succession are exclusively reserved for discussion at the ZANU-PF Congress, which is set for 2027. Marapira emphasized that the topic of succession is not currently relevant within ZANU-PF structures or among its members. Instead, he noted, it is being pushed by individuals with no historical ties to the party—outsiders who are not members of ZANU-PF.
