Ford: I didn't like the televised part of this because it reminded me of something that might happen in China or North Korea. If I were an adversary… if I was watching this, I'm not convinced that I would be more fearful of the US, or, for that matter, wanting to be more like them.

Can I even call it a good ending? It's not bad either, since some of my favorite characters survive. I wouldn't say I entirely enjoyed this Fafner experience, the first season was harsh on me, and I hope they tone it down in the next seasons for the sake of my sanity. The message is truly beautiful, teaching about the beauty of life and death, how death is never the end but the beginning of a new, beautiful life. Still, it was really painful and left me wounded. I don't hate it, that's for sure. But how much do I like it? I can't say right now. Maybe I'll have my answer when I finish watching the entire story, which seems quite long, so I'll take my time with it. For now, I'll take a short break and start something more optimistic. Anyway, I don't hate anyone for recommending Fafner. It might be someone's favorite because they learned something beautiful from it, and I respect that.
