To me, that scene was just so dumb. Sure, sealing the doors would keep direct attackers out of a room, but that bad guy came in through other means and wouldn't get trapped in the room, PLUS, the method use leaves some of their best fighters trapped and sacrificed. Bad strategy.

Not only could they have knocked out the poles AFTER she passed. They could've easily escaped too. The whole sacrifice made no sense since it collapsed and fell into the sea anyway.
