I was thinking this last night there have been a shit ton of last possessions where they left Mikal one on one and he’s been great

Bridges has actually prevented all the typical heartbreak moments in the clutch

For as mid as he’s been this year my god he puts on the defensive clamps in clutch time so much lmaooo I remember not only the hawks game winning stop but also earlier in that game 1v1 with Trae insane defensive sequence forcing a shot clock violation 🤣

So good to see this after the first quarter of the season

We ask so much of this guy he doesn’t deserve the hate he gets. Literally leads the league in minutes played and spends a lot of that time chasing the other team’s best scoring guard around screens and defending pnr w the worst drop big itl. Always locks up w the game on the line

Mikal with a one on one iso no screens is an elite defender, that’s why he’s so good in the clutch.

Guy is legit the reason we have a gap between 3 and 4th place. I know offense can be inconsistent but he has won us games. Impact player

With Mitch back, more ppl are going to see just how solid of a defender bridges is. No more of guys being able to blow by him knowing there’s no real rim protection to follow up
