This show does not deserve the hate that it gets, I think the writing is decently on point for the characters despite it being a kids cartoon😭 Like I could see Finn and Millie acting the scene out just like this w the exact mannerisms the cartoon uses.

this is so weird and I can't see El reacting like that she is in general way too confident with her wording. She doesn't speak like that later in S3....

Way too confident with her wording? She was confident with her wording plenty of times in s2, this isn’t s1. She’s comfortable w Mike, and she still uses short sentences like s2&3. The “sometimes words are enough” thing was smthing she learned from a tv commercial.

It’s a kids cartoon made with a different audience in mind, so not everything is going to be perfect to the way it is in canon.
