Amar'e Stoudemire in Knicks Finals hat at his Hall of Fame press conference: "Going to New York at that time (2010)…one playoffs 10 years, no all-star starters since Patrick Ewing (14 years), a lot of players did not want to go to New York…but I love taking on a challenge…Coach D'Antoni was there…and I was raised in New York…Lost at first…I said 'forget this, I'm just gonna dominate.' So I went on this 30+ point scoring tear…we had a great stretch…When I first signed I was like 'The Knicks are back.' I wanted the world to see New York is back, that the New York Knicks is the destination place for players to come & play. And so we were able to bring in HOF players…Now to see that energy lead to a championship…for me I'm still celebrating that because I feel like I'm a part of it…I'm happy to see those guys win that championship"
