I’m not sure why this talking point keeps going around. If they make it super easy to get into the playoffs, then making the playoffs won’t hold the same weight that it has in the past. Expectations will rise. Making the playoffs and then getting bounced in round 1 or 2 will be considered a disappointment.

Elko is locked in until 2031 with $69 million guaranteed, he honestly can say whatever he wants. Other coaches are desperate to save their jobs and have a year or 2 before they’re fired so yes they need a 24 team playoff.

@rcb05 Why are the expansion opponents raising the MOST important argument against MORE games/year?!?! 18-21 year olds are NOT going to maintain their health playing 18 or 19 games. Injuries will increase in frequency and severity.
