I'm with @Iromg I'd actually forgotten how violent this so called "carnival" has been in the past. Now as bad or worse. The police don't like it, residents don't like it, doubt the other emergency services like it, and I as a Londoner have to change plans to accommodate it. Scrap it or have it in a stadium or park.

@Iromg Mike has my vote on this. It should be held at a venue and you should have to buy a ticket. You should have to provide contact details and there should be official security with stop and search powers. There should also be a search of participants before entering the venue.

@Iromg @Iromg carnival is not what it was .I remember families and generations of my West Indians friends making it a real occasion.let all those strangers into Britain and they’ve ruined it for so many. Maybe have it in a field somewhere like they do in Glastonbury.
