.Speaker Mike Johnson: “We will get back to the kitchen table issues, the economic issues that we put in place to make the economy grow — the Working Families Tax Cuts, the Big Beautiful Bill. All the legislation we passed put in pro-growth policies that will lead to bigger paychecks. We already had the largest tax refunds we've had in a long, long time because of our policies."

I am proud that with the Working Families Tax Cuts, Republicans enacted the first pro-life law in decades. Today we will be taking up legislation to ensure that pregnant college students are aware of and able to access the support they need to carry their babies and parent while continuing their education.

The March for Life matters because it reminds our nation that every life has inherent, inestimable value. In just one year of Republican leadership, we’ve delivered historic pro-life legislation that puts families first: ✅ Defunded Big Abortion ✅ A bigger Child Tax Credit ✅ Stronger Adoption Tax Credit ✅ Trump Investment Accounts for every newborn ✅ The largest middle-class tax cut in history This is only the beginning — during America’s 250th year, we will keep turning this movement into real, lasting results for families and for the right to life.

With the One Big, Beautiful Bill we can unleash American energy development, provide additional resources for border security, deliver pro-growth tax policies that will help working Americans, Main Street small businesses, and a manufacturing resurgence for our hard-working families.

Americans such as Amber, Federico, Kevin, Adam, Craig, and Steve are just a few of the faces of the Working Families Tax Cuts. Each of them represents tens of millions of American families benefiting from our Republican pro-growth, pro-worker policies. And it doesn't matter if you're a Republican or Democrat or Independent. Every American got a tax cut – the largest tax cut in U.S. history.

In my State of the State address, I called for a Millionaires' Tax that puts a significant percentage of dollars back in the pockets of Washingtonians. We've reached the end of session, and the Millionaires' Tax has passed. With it, we have the biggest small business tax cut in state history, 460,000 additional working families receiving checks from the Working Families Tax Credit, and free school meals for all Washington kids. We seized the opportunity to make our tax system more fair.

When Lindsey was engaged in a fight, he was as effective a warrior as you could see. If it wasn't for Lindsey’s leadership, I don't believe we would've passed the Working Families Tax Cut, the bill that has the most conservative victories of any bill ever passed into law.

The Working Families Tax Cut Act has more conservative victories in it than any legislation that has ever passed into law. No Tax on Tips, No Tax on Overtime, No Tax on Social Security, Trump Accounts, universal school choice — and more. That’s what it means to be a populist.

Crazy Nancy says the One Big Beautiful Bill is "about tax cuts for the wealthiest people." That lie doesn't work when it's the largest tax cut in American history targeted squarely at working Americans. - No Tax on Tips - No Tax on Overtime - A 15% tax cut for people making between $30,000 and $80,000 - An expanded child tax credit, savings accounts for newborns, and strengthened paid family leave This is the most pro-worker and pro-family bill we've ever seen.

.White House Press Office: A little more than a year after President Trump signed the Working Families Tax Cuts into law, this historic legislation continues to deliver on its promise, unleashing a genuine boom for American workers, families, and small businesses. The numbers speak for themselves. This was the biggest tax refund season in American history with the average refund exceeding $3,400, an 11% increase over the last year. American families and workers claimed $82 billion in direct tax relief and 97% of filers received a tax cut. More than 29 million workers claimed No Tax on Overtime. More than 35 million seniors claimed No Tax on Social Security, and nearly eight million workers claimed No Tax on Tips. Thanks to the other pro-growth provisions in the Working Families Tax Cuts, like making the 20% small business tax deduction permanent and delivering 100% expensing for new factories, equipment and research, the Trump administration is setting up American manufacturers and workers to thrive like never before.

The experts and data are clear – the Child Tax Credit was a life-changing success for working families. We must reinstate the Child Tax Credit and expand policies like paid family leave and affordable childcare that demonstrably reduce poverty and improve outcomes.
