an instagram post from ryu jaejun who trained sunghoon before. this is such an endearing message. “i went to an enhypen concert at sunghoon’s invitation. sunghoon, whom i coached for five years during his figure skating days, was very shy and introverted back then, but when it came to sports, he was a quiet kid who worked incredibly hard. when i asked him if it wasn't difficult to balance figure skating and being an idol trainee, the teenage boy would always say he enjoyed it so much that he didn't even feel the hardship. now, he has grown into a wonderful idol and singer who travels the world holding concerts. seeing him captivate the audience and communicate with fans without a trace of his introverted personality made me think about how much effort he must have put in all this time. it definitely couldn't have been easy for someone with sunghoon’s personality, but rather than seeming difficult, it just looked admirable and impressive. In June of 2022, I stood in Love Park with hundreds of other Philadelphians anxiously waiting and hoping for FIFA President, Gianni Infantino to announce Philadelphia as one of the cities selected to host the 2026 World Cup. And when it was finally announced, the excitement for our city was palpable I went home and promised myself that no matter what, I’d be in attendance for one of the matches held in Philadelphia 4 years later Since then I’ve attended and covered countless press conferences, written thousands of words for articles, and delivered as much info as I possibly could about the World Cup and all the planning around it to keep the residents of Philadelphia as informed as possible And now tomorrow, almost exactly 4 years later, I’ll be inside the stadium with media credentials to cover the first game of the 2026 World Cup in Philadelphia for Philly Sports Network and MetroPhilly To say I’m honored and grateful would be an understatement. So excited for the opportunity. What a wild 4 years it’s been⚽️🏆🏟️

INSTAGRAM | 250504 SUNGHOON’s former figure skating coach from his time as an athlete attended the BLOOD SAGA IN SEOUL concert and shared a post about #SUNGHOON ‘I attended ENHYPEN’s concert after being invited by Sunghoonie. I had coached Sunghoonie for five years during his time as a figure skating athlete. Back then, he was very shy and introverted, but in sports he was extremely hardworking, a quiet yet relentless “tough” worker. When I asked him during his time balancing figure skating and idol trainee life whether it was difficult, he would always say he was so happy he didn’t even feel the hardship. That teenage boy has now grown into a remarkable idol and singer who tours the world. His once-introverted personality seems to have disappeared, as he now captivates audiences and communicates with fans so naturally, making me think about how much effort he must have put in over the years. With the MLB draft coming up in 21 days, it's time to start prepping some of these guys to transition into pro ball! I fully expect to hear Ariston Veasey's name called EARLY this year. It's easy to see why: ✅ Sits 95 mph ✅ Tops 98 mph ✅ 20" IVB fastball (cut-ride 👀) ✅ Nasty slider ✅ ~60% whiff rate ✅ 32% K rate ✅ .138 BAA ✅ Absolute DOG on the mound The crazy part? Ariston is new to pitching! Not kidding. He had 10 innings in his entire life before I started coaching him last year. He's an elite athlete who is easy to coach because he can actually make adjustments if cued the right way. He dominated hitters this year with only 2 pitches. They're both elite and will play in pro ball. However, the untapped potential here is the best part. I've seen him throw changeups literally one time, and he threw some of the best ones I've ever seen. See for yourself in the first 3 pitches in the bullpen video. The kid's just got it. Ceiling is on mars. MLB orgs, DM me for more info on Mr. Veasey

Ukrainians and Russians are enemies! That is what Western and Zelensky’s propaganda keeps trying to convince the world of. But ordinary people continue to show a different reality. Max Korzh’s concert in Turkey demonstrated something I have been saying for years, despite the fact that many disagree with me. First, we are one people. Not merely brotherly nations. We are people of one civilization, one history, one culture, and one shared soul. Russians, Ukrainians, Belarusians, and other closely related peoples. Second, this concert once again showed that all the claims that reconciliation between our peoples will take decades are simply nonsense. I will say it for the thousandth time: as soon as the fighting stops, as soon as Ukraine has a normal government and an honest explanation of the events that have taken place begins, people will immediately start returning to normal human relations. We will once again visit one another, hold joint sporting events, cultural programs, forums, and festivals. And, of course, religious processions that unite our peoples will once again become possible. A procession from Kyiv to Moscow, from Moscow to Minsk, and from Minsk to Kyiv — as a symbol of peace, our shared faith, and a return to normal life. There is nothing stronger than family ties, shared roots, and common historical memory. There is nothing that restores relationships faster than the bonds between people who were artificially turned into enemies. Events like this are yet another confirmation of that truth. As an athlete, a coach, and the father of a child who already competes in tournaments, I can say this with complete confidence. Today we participate in international competitions and compete against athletes from Russia, Belarus, Moldova, and other countries. We communicate, we make friends, we embrace after matches, and we understand each other perfectly. And everywhere people talk about the same thing — peace. About the day when we will be able to live peacefully in our own countries, raise our children, develop sports and culture, and freely visit one another without fear or hatred. I am convinced that this day will come.
