What an absolutely amazing turn around in less than two seasons. Their willingness to cut their losses and stick to the M.O.B. mentality is utterly refreshing. I feel like M&M will not have his “message get stale” over time because he’s genuine about it. Go Hawks!!

Sometimes teams don’t fix things and you really can have success doing the same plays against them. But best of both worlds is when the concept is already in your system and you aren’t changing anything just because the team made mistakes the week prior.

Some coaches are successful and able to not only build, but sustain a winner, where others are out after a few seasons. The why matters.

Not exactly about Grubb … more about flavor of the moment “coaching” gimmicks. With Mike, supported by John Schneider & team management, it was about getting the right people for a team. Not chasing after personalities but performance / results.
