Too bad at the high school level many parents and administrators don’t understand this type of message. Those who don’t understand this sort of message believe entitlement is the way athletics work.

College coaches are recruiting fewer HS players and then ever before. A lot of them view it as a huge risk because they don’t know what they are getting. It’s much easier for them to go find a proven player in the portal. Coaches need to be confident that they know who they are getting. That comes with consistency.

You will give yourself the opportunity to be a Champion only when you’ve put the work in, Preparation is Hard, Hard Work, Hard Training, Hard Choices with diet and recovery and sleep. But when you’ve prepared and not “cheated the preparation process” you know, you know you can trade on that preparation and become a Champion. Just listen to these guys, they knew going into the race, they knew because they have given a lifetime of honest preparation
