Was watching it live when it happened. Sniper said he missed the cylinder and hit the gun body. Was trying to just knock out the cylinder which would have been epic.

75 m is so close!!! That’s not a sniper shot. Many zero their rifle at a 1” circle at 100m. This shot was easier than that. I have made a shot at a red bull can at 500m.

They left out the best part. The guy who got the gun shot out of his hand, told the sniper that was a hell of a shot After they cuffed him.

I remember that. Knowing what I now know about precision rifle shooting, 75 yards is very close. The remarkable thing about it was that it was a BOLD move by the sniper. The decision and timing were critical. The shot was easy. My own teenage daughter's 5-shot group at 100 yards.

Tactically that is a huge risk If you miss, you might make the guy angry and unpredictable The bullet is going to richochet off the gun and go somewhere Using non lethal force is an admirable goal. But guaranteeing the standoff ends quickly is most important That all said.... that is one hell of a shot
