Mike Vrabel announces that assistant HC and DL coach Terrell Williams will serve as Titans’ HC vs Bears on Saturday. Vrabel will be assisting. Great exposure for Williams down the road for potential HC candidacy:

Vrabel lived in my hood of hilliard ohio and we share real estate agents. Never heard a bad word about this guy.

I really really like this, and I have a boat load of respect for this decision/action.👍🏼 I hope more coaches/franchises choose to do this. Maybe not a newer HC, but a vet that already knows the ropes.

As much as NFL teams preach being prepared, I'm surprised more teams don't do something like this in the pre-season. Its rare, but not unheard of for a head coach to miss a game due to health issues.

Solid move by a solid coach. Not only great exposure for coach Williams but good practice to have a contingency plan should head coach be out for a game. Would like to see more teams move in this direction.
