Honestly it’s pretty straight forward… his shoulder is being looked at but put him on the injury report due to following NFL guidelines. No question Maye is hindered by his shoulder but is toughening it out. We just don’t have a diagnosis

Drake injured his shoulder last year as a result of Will Campbel returning from his knee injury too soon and being <100%, clearly weaker and allowing a bunch of punishing sacks during the playoffs. Drake was being hit as he threw the ball (strip sacked) and tore his right labrum. They all decided to just use cortisone shots to numb his shoulder through the Super Bowl and in the offseason to go the no-surgery route and do treatments/rest. He’s clearly still not 100% or re-injured the shoulder, but the team being complicit in his condition didn’t want to officially declare the injury, but Drake is struggling and now they have to. Drake was playing along but it was unfair to him to keep it a secret. That’s my best guess, and how Drake, Vrabel, Josh, and team are speaking around the issue supports this theory. Adding fuel to the fire was the decision to no re-sign his go to 1,000 yard receiver and traded Boutte for a bag of chips, and Brown is injured and Doubs is MIA.

I don’t think it’s confusing at all. Likely he did a normal game day check with a doctor and said he had minor pain, and since he mentioned that the doctors were going to report that to the media and the team just took extra precautions to make sure he was on the injury report.
